A$AP ROCKY x STAR SLINGER

“Pretty motherfucker, Harlem’s what I’m reppin’” is the bold, tell-all statement that opens A$AP Rocky’s fantastic “Peso” from his LiveLoveA$AP mixtape, in fact you don’t really need to know any more about the A$AP crew leader. And it’s a great track that didn’t really need tampering with. But Star Slinger went and did it anyway and he has genuinely put a great spin on it. Pitch-shifted vocals against the sped-up beats works well together, and the repetition of the aforementioned “Pretty motherfucker” line at the beginning and end of the song makes the whole thing pretty full circle. Nice.
