With the surely Twin Peaks-referencing name, Shaun Fleming, part of the Foxygen-touring band, has revealed his own ’60s-indebted and ambitious project. Even after hearing of the “inter-band turmoil”, of which Fleming seems an antagonist, it’s hard to resist this meditative song’s charming allure. Parts of it, and his forthcoming debut album My Friend Fish, were recorded with broken equipment and iPhone apps, after all.
