Double Dagger Dat Shit

I fucking love upbeat punk.

Double Dagger are like a tuneful Black Flag, which basically says they are awesome. I’m actually awaiting the delivery for “Masks EP”, and I’ve listened to it 3 or 4 times, that’s a lot considering I don’t actually own it.
Obvious comparisons would be No Age, which definitely would give you a good idea of the kind of music they make. But, “Masks – EP”, kind of reminds me of Part Chimp, when Double Dagger have this dischordy element to them, despite have a good amount of hooks in their songs.
Another great thing about this EP, is that it doesn’t stay heavy and fast paced, its slows down, and still manages to keep this rhythm of the record going. Some EPs, LPs, and single’s don’t do this and aren’t as enjoyable to listen to as one piece, but Double Dagger’s Masks EP definitely keeps up this rhythm.
Double Dagger are currently touring with Friendship, another awesome band. Listening to this EP, I can’t imagine how one of their shows would go, but I all I can say is that it would radical as fuck.
