SAY WHAT: What It Look Like (Todd Edwards Remix) – Spank Rock

Spank Rock just got a “better late than never” remix from Todd Edwards. When I first listened to Spank Rock I must of been 16, its nice to here a remix of something I loved so much when I was slightly younger. Plus it helps that this remix is fucking off the hook.

The original was a fast paced, dark track. But the remix feels like the opposite, its not a happy track, but it definitely feels lighter. The backing vocal track in it is sick, if theres one thing I’m liking in dance music right now, its definitely the chopped vocals that I keep hearing. The clap based beat is oddly catchy, which is unusual for a drum beat, it also works really well with the vocal track. If there’s one thing to mention though, Naeem Juwan’s rapping melts over the remix like cheese on nachos, fucking ace.
This tracks going to be featured on the epic “Ninja Tune XX, Vol 1″, which is a mighty fine mix of dubstep, and experimental music.
