IMPRESSIONS – Lykke Li – “Love Out Of Lust”

Here’s another new Lykke Li track off her forthcoming Wounded Rhymes album. It’s a little more understated and relaxed than the previous, Depeche Mode-sounding, “I Follow Rivers”, but of course, that doesn’t diminish the fact that Lykke is sounding better than ever and her sophomore-effort continually seems to be building into an album that will be a lot better than her debut Youth Novels. There’s more abundant river imagery in her lyrics for this song, as well as a more entrenched positivity and sense of past-Lykke Li familiarity attached to the vibe. As opposed, of course, to the tribal-beat enthused, all out sexy affair that is “Get Some” or the aforementioned, 80s soundalike, more negative, “I Follow Rivers”. Check out the track now below.
