TWO OCEANS IN BETWEEN US

If you don’t feel moved by the soulful, yearning sound of Family, I’m not sure if you are actually human. Outstanding vocal work coupled with a backdrop of music that sounds steeped in this emotion makes for some pretty compelling stuff. Again showing that the whole less is more thing really works in this age of hyper-information-consumption, checking out their website, annoyingly, reveals little. Though, with over three short “album” collections of songs on their Bandcamp page, you should be more than satisfied, for now.

Family will be supporting another act drenched in mystery, WU LYF, on their forthcoming UK Tour, which includes a stop by Shoreditch’s Village Underground on the 17th June.
