PEACH WEDDING

This new track from Braids delights at every turn, a somewhat sorrowful yet radiantly beautiful vocal lifts a more melancholic musical backdrop into something stunning. There’s lashings of an Animal Collective-inspired sound, a spiraling, sprawling sound which wouldn’t feel out of place on Merriweather Post Pavilion, of course, the voice is somewhat of a different prospect entirely. There’s also resemblance to their contemporaries in Purity Ring, who funnily enough back this track with “Lofticries” on the flip side of an upcoming split 7″.
