I mean, this remix kind of makes absolutely no sense; in terms of placing White Denim, they’re nothing if aeons away from the sonic stylings of Wayne Smith and his classic “Under Mi Sleng Teng“, which this re-fix of “Pretty Green”, a standout from their incredible Corsicana Lemonade album, apes. Yet, it works. Sure, dub puritans will protest, but it’s the kind of unlikely and endearing homage that should rightly be celebrated.
