the icypoles – just you / babies

the icypoles are about to release their debut album on highline records, i’ve reviewed it for DIY (out soon I think?) and it’s great, and they have recently put out the sublime “just you”, which is *obviously* a cover of the david lynch-penned ballad from his masterful twin peaks. beautifully staccato, disjointed and ethereal, it is a chillingly cheery rendition.

also worth checking “babies”, an almost spoken-word diatribe that distills life to its essence.
