parquet courts – instant disassembly
just when i thought that parquet courts’ forthcoming sunbathing animal was poised to be a vague disappointment, they break out “instant disassembly” which, though it finds them at their most pavement-sounding yet, is a downright perfect scrawling and scratching slack anthem. “i can’t breathe, i can’t breathe” is an angst-y choral refrain, and also the kind of thing that will undoubtedly rouse those punk crowds into an arm-swaying, lighters-in-the-air, cacophony.
